Guangxi Pingxiang Border
Economic Cooperation Zone
It was approved as one of the national border zones by the State
Council in Sept. 1992. The zone is located in the border between
China and Vietnam, within Asia-Pacific economic area, being one
of main passage that connects the southwest China to Vietnam and
countries in the southeast Asia. International railway and No.322
National Road run through the area. Pingxiang station, the national
first-grade port, national co-inspection organizations and some
foreign affairs departments are in the zone, too. It is planed to
cover 7.2 sq.km. 4.2 has been completed, total investment is up
to 0.405 billion RMB Yuan, perfect infrastructure construction has
been established.
