Nanchang state high-tech industry development zone

Nanchang city,the capital of Jiangxi Province, is a famous cultural city with a history of more than 2000 years and a reputation as "a place propitios for giving birth to great men, the greatness of a man lends glory to a place". It is also the only provincial capital on the Beijing-Kowloon railway line, and the biggest metropolis on the Gan River basin.

Tourism: The sites of ancient cultural remains such as the Tengwang Pavilion which is known as one of the 3 famous pavilions in the south of the lowest reaches of the Yangtze River, the Badashanren Mimorial Hall located right within the city. The Poyang Lake Migrant Birds Protection Region and the Lushan Mountain Scenic Spot which has been listed in the World Legacy Catatogue by the World Legacy Committee are both located close to the urban area and have attracted tourists to come and enjoy themselves so much as to regret to return.

Human Resources: There are 136scientific research and technological development institutions with 69.5 thousand professional and technical personnel; 12 colleges and universities and 49 technical secondary schools with 15 thousand graduates every year.

Climate:The average annual temperature is 17.5¡æ.the average annual rainfall I s 1596.4 mm and the average annual frost-free period is 277.9 days.

Water Transport: The water transport channel goes from the Gan River down through Poyang Lake and the Yangtze River to the East Sea.The water channel can reach all the ports along the Yangtze River as well as the Shanghai port. The heaviest ship that can be moored at Nanchang harbor is of 500-ton-grade, and the annual loading and unloading capacity is near 1 million tons.

Railway: The railway lines such as Beijing-Kowloon, Zhejiang-Jiangxi, Jiangxi-Nanjing, Jiiangxi-Hunan railway lines etc.all go through the city. Every day there are trains to Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Xi'an, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Guangxhou, Shenzhen, Guilin etc.

Highways: Highways are crisscrossed in the city. The national No.105 Beijing-zhuhai High way, the national No.320 Shanghai-Yunnan Highway and the national No.316 Lanzhou-Fuzhou Highway all go through it. The Nanchang-Jiujiang Expressway goes through to the ports along the Yantze River.

Aviation: 34airlines have been opened, bringing the passengers to and from Hong Kong as well as serving the major cities of the country. Nanchang ChangBei Airport is one of the main airports of the country and it is located only 26KM from urban area.
