December, 1980
Vietnam put Anti-China context into its new Constitution.
March 14th, 1988
Vietnamese navy attacked the Chinese vessel at normal exploration
work around Nansha Chigua Reef and provoked military conflict.
Chinese navy was forced to fight back. One Vietnamese warship
was sunk, and two were damaged.
December, 1988
The 4th session of the 8th Vietnamese Congress passed a resolution
to delete the Anti-China context from its Constitution.
